About us

Meeple Made started by a simple question: why do the board games use pieces that fall apart so easily?

We're a small team of board game enthusiasts based in Shanghai, working closely with local game shops and board game cafés, the kind of places where components get put through real wear and tear. Watching cardboard tokens fray and plastic pieces crack after just a handful of plays got us asking the same question over and over: why does the industry settle for such low quality materials?

So we decided to fix it ourselves.

What began as a few upgrade kits for our own favorite games has grown into a proper mission: crafting components that actually hold up and look good doing it. Most of our products are handmade, piece by piece, with the rest produced in partnership with local factories we trust for quality and precision.

Every item we make is built with the same idea in mind: your games deserve better than what's in the box.
